County Donegal, Ireland 2005

Fanad Head lighthouse sits upon a craggy outcropping in Northern County Donegal. It is one of the most northern points in the county and overlooks Lough Swilly and the northern Atlantic Ocean. In the eighteenth century, a nearby fort was built to ward off French ships. A truly rugged example of the surreal coastline of County Donegal.
